This is as easy as making a desert gets. No baking skills are required and if you choose to opt out of making the whip cream yourself and choose to use the store bough version, this recipe is a no brainer! Your beau will love this and even love you more. Happy Valentine’s Day!
1 cup heavy whipping cream
2 ½ Tbs. powdered sugar
4 Tbs. crushed graham crackers ( or any digestive biscuits)
2 Tbs. strawberry syrup (optional for garnishing the strawberries)
Method Pre-prep time: 20 minutes Prep Time: 10 minutes Servings: 2 people
Making the whipped cream
-Chill the mixing bowl and the beaters for the mixer in the freezer for 20 minutes prior to starting the recipe.
-Place the heavy whipping cream in the bowl and beat on high speed for 5 minutes to a consistency called stiff peaks. I used YouTube tutorial to get the best results. Try not to over whip as the cream will start to turn into butter.
-Add the sugar and mix
-place whipped cream in fridge for 1 hour before using to help stabilize but I chose to use it immediately
Assembling the Desert
-Crush the Graham Crackers in a blender for 45 seconds or until you get a fine powder
-Slice the strawberries and dip them into the strawberry syrup
-Start assembling by placing a quarter of the strawberry slices at the bottom of each of the two glasses
– Using a piping bag, pipe out a layer of the whipped cream.
-Sprinkle a table spoon of the graham crackers.
-repeat the process above to create a second set of layers ending with the sprinkle of the Graham crackers
– Garnish with a slice of the strawberry and server immediately.
-Enjoy immediately or chill for later.by
